Who we are

A Bangor consultancy built around the working studio

A good studio is quiet in the right ways: cables out of sight, light that stays put, sound that needs no explanation and a crew that knows its next cue.

jurnexio has been helping studios since 2012. We cover camera operation, lighting, sound and the workflows behind television news and live shows. Our clients are small studios, broadcast teams and production students who want equipment set up properly and routines that hold together.

About
How we work

From first conversation to a studio that runs itself

Every project starts with understanding how your studio is used today. We look at the space, the kit and the people, then plan changes in a sensible order. Nothing is fixed until you have seen it in writing and agreed it.

  1. Enquiry and brief

You tell us about the studio, the kind of programmes you make and what currently slows you down. We ask a few practical questions so we understand the space, the crew size and the equipment already on hand.

  2. Visit and assessment

We look at the floor, the gallery, the lighting grid and the audio path, and watch a typical run of work. We note what works well and what causes repeated delays or retakes.

  3. Written plan

We set out layouts, lighting plans, microphone positions or workflow changes in plain language, with the reasoning for each. You can follow it yourselves or ask us to guide the work.

  4. Hands-on sessions

Where training is part of the job, we work with your operators at the cameras, the lighting controls and the mixing desk until the movements and settings become routine.

  5. Follow-up

After the first productions, we go back over what happened with you, adjust settings and routines, and tidy the documents so new crew can pick them up without help.

  • Studio Setup Planning

    Studio Setup Planning

We plan floor layouts, cable routes and equipment racks before anything is installed. The aim is a studio where the crew can move freely and nothing needs rearranging after the first week.

    Lighting Design

Lighting plans for news desks, interviews and portrait sets, from the key light through to separating the subject from the background. Plans are written so your crew can rebuild them reliably.

  • Sound and Audio Workflow

    Sound and Audio Workflow

We choose microphone positions, set up mixing and arrange monitoring so speech stays clear on air. The result is a sound routine your engineer can repeat from one show to the next.

  • Live Show Workflow Review

    Live Show Workflow Review

We watch your gallery, cueing and talkback routines in use and write up practical improvements. The review points to where small changes will remove confusion during a live show.

Why jurnexio

Practical habits behind every project

Our approach comes from years of studio floors and live galleries. These are the habits you will notice when you work with us.

  • Clear written plans

Every recommendation comes in plain English with the reason behind it. Your crew can read the plan, question it and follow it without us in the room.

  • Hands-on teaching

Training takes place at the cameras, the lighting controls and the desk. People learn on your equipment, in your space, with the programmes you actually make.

  • Repeatable routines

We aim for setups and cue sheets that work the same way every time, so a quiet Tuesday and a busy live show follow the same dependable pattern.

  • Whole-crew thinking

Cameras, lights, sound and the gallery depend on one another. We look at how they work together instead of treating each department in isolation.

  • Reliable by design

Cable routes, rack layouts and backup habits are chosen to reduce the chance of faults during a broadcast and to make any fault easy to trace.

  • Modest, honest advice

If a smaller change will solve the problem, we say so. We only recommend new equipment or large changes when the studio genuinely needs them.
