Twelve years of helping studios run smoothly
jurnexio was founded in 2012 by Rhys Hughes, who had already spent many years working in studio production. The idea was simple: studios do better when someone explains the craft clearly and helps set things up properly from the start.

Rhys began by planning studio layouts and reviewing live show routines for small teams who had good equipment but little time to arrange it well. Those early projects showed how much of a smooth broadcast comes from preparation: where the cables run, where the lights sit, who speaks on talkback and when.
Over time the work widened. Camera operation, lighting design and audio each became a service of their own, led by people who do that work every day. Owen Parry teaches camera operators, Carys Williams designs lighting and Megan Foster looks after microphones and mixing.
From our base at 14 Garth Road in Bangor, we work with studios, broadcast crews and production students across the UK. Some clients are starting a studio from an empty room. Others have run live shows for years and want to find out why certain things keep going wrong.
We do not believe in dramatic overhauls for their own sake. Most improvements are modest: moving a light, changing a microphone position, rewriting a cue sheet or rehearsing a camera move until it becomes second nature. Together they make a studio calmer and the programmes more consistent.
Everything we do is written down. Plans, notes and recommendations are given to you in plain language so that your crew owns the knowledge. If you never need to call us again for the same problem, the work has done its job.
